Studio Kader operates from a workspace in the west of Amsterdam, in a building shared with fellow artists and designers.

Studio Kader is an independent project studio for art and design founded by Carolina Aboarrage and Lot Meijers. Within Studio Kader, Carolina specializes in graphic design, while Lot's focus is on project management. They also offer combined services, simplifying things for clients.

One branch of Kaders expertise lies in crafting identities, publications, motion graphics, websites, and exhibition identities, with an eye for vibrant color combinations, layered aesthetics and distinctive typography.
The other branch offers professional project management, including exhibition production and commission supervision, primarily serving clients in the cultural sector. Kader has a wealth of experience in handling intricate projects both locally and internationally.

TextielLab 2025
  • We’re excited to be working on the signage design and concept for the TextielLab, part of the Textile Museum in Tilburg.

      Designing Society

During Dutch Design Week 2024, we designed Designing Society, an exhibition that brought together four initiatives under one roof: World Design Embassies, Maakruimte voor Mooi NL, De Publieke Ontwerppraktijk, and What if Lab.
The exhibition showcased a diverse range of (mainly) social design projects within a clear and structured space. The central visual identity was inspired by the theme of societal evolution, taking the movement of dividing cells as its starting point. This visual metaphor highlights the continuous growth of social initiatives and underscores how design can contribute to the development and transformation of communities.

In partnership with Hofmeijer Dekker Ontwerpers, we developed a spatial design that provided clarity and ensured each project had its own distinct presence. Sustainability was central to the project, with rented and reusable materials, while accessibility was prioritized through tactile maps, a wheelchair-friendly layout, and carefully considered details.

This collaboration created a space for reflection and inspiration, made possible by the contributions of our partners and visitors.

      MBOin2030

MBOin2030 is a traveling exhibition for which we developed the conceptual framework, spatial design, and graphic identity.

The exhibition explores the future of vocational education in 2030, emphasizing flexible and personalized learning paths that adapt to the evolving needs of students and the labor market. Visitors engage with innovative educational models designed to empower both students and educators.

MBOin2030 will travel to multiple locations throughout this year and next, fostering discussions on the future of education and its impact on society.

      • This year, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Estúdio Campo on the visual communication for the Venice Biennale 2024. This large-scale project encompassed the entire visual identity of the main exhibition, both in the Giardini and the Arsenale.

The team, comprising just three individuals – Paula Tinoco, Roderico and Carolina – from Estúdio Campo and Studio Kader, was responsible for developing a cohesive visual identity. This included the designing of posters, catalogues, animations, signage and promotional materials. The work involved intense research and development of graphic concepts that could dialogue with the curatorial proposal and the Biennale. Coordination with different design and production teams was essential to guarantee the consistency and quality of all the graphic materials.
