The Setting of Violence
An exhibition featuring a series of photographs extracted from Pier Paolo Pasolini's film, "Saló o le 120 Giornate di Sodoma" (1975), along with text projections and soundscapes. The artist attempts to explore the filmmaker's original intentions by manipulating frames from the film and removing all traces of its atrocities, victims and perpetrators. The resulting images are ominous, evoking a sense of desolation and unease. Installation shots by Lotte Stekelenburg
